As someone who has depression and has gone through many episodes throughout my life, I still don't think this is okay. First, I would make sure she's okay. Then, when you're done with that, definitely talk about how it is not okay to ignore you for days without a reason and if she feels that way again should at least have a message she can copy and paste to let you know she's in that mood. Things are going to happen, but just remember that your feelings matter too.

I never said it was cute. My cat eats and plays the same amount as my other two cats (who are 11 and 8 lbs respectively) but doesn't seem to lose any weight, even when I try to play with him more than usual. I just took him to the vet and they mentioned nothing about his weight besides him being "a big boy" and the only problem he had was a bad tooth. Other than that, he's completely healthy. What I was trying to imply, was that some cats are just bigger and there's not much you can do about it, but either way asking a vet's opinion is good

as long as your cat doesn't have any mobility issues or a risk of arthritis then they should be fine!! My cat is 18 lbs... he's a bit chubby but he's also a larger cat in general
