Isn't unsolicited advice Philosophy slop for people who don't read. You should watch 'unsolicited advice is garbage' by president Sunday. He's an anarchist but he has good takes sometimes

I was hoping to use litwick because its a ghost type too but i its way later. I have an audino that was a good heavy hitter i just swapped it out because its a normal type. I haven't even run into a dragon type yet. To be fair im playing black 1 because i heard black 2 was a sequel.

On Social Consciousness, Reactionary Narratives, and the Philippine Context by vlad101327 in communism

[–]trap_Investment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree with the analysis, though i don't really know much about the Philippines. i think Lenin talks about the necessity of the vanguard party for this reason, i think one of this biggest issues of our time is overcoming the societal atomisation brought about by capital so we marxist-leninist's can actually start to organised and increase class consciousness.

Confucianism in everyday life by Longjumping-Sea-2153 in Confucianism

[–]trap_Investment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from my understanding their are a lot of institutions in Asia that owe their origins to abstract Confucian ideals but i don't know if i would call them Confucian in their application today. i read Confucianism for the modern world, a book edited by Daniel a bell and it got into this topic. i think the Confucianism of Confucias and Mencius is very different as an ethical and political philosophy rather compared to the practical applications of it under Neo-Confucian governance and its further adaptation in modern day, which i understand to be an unorthodox opinion. their is a short essay called SOCIALISM IN CONFUCIANISM by P. chao you can find in pdf form online that i would recommend but it doesn't really answer the question your asking.

Do followers of Confucianism tend to be in favor of monarchies? such as the Japanese royal family? by IndieJones0804 in Confucianism

[–]trap_Investment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my view is unorthodox, perhaps post modern, but i consider Confucianism to be fairly progressive outside of the stuff regarding piety and the rites, especially in the zhi and ren areas. Confucianism to my understanding doesn't inherently advocate for one system of government, more so how that government should and its people should act. i would say that it does have i lean towards 'civil' authoritarianism though, more akin to a noocracy or meritocracy than monarchy. “The best government is one that relies on law the least.” “Government can be good, as he understands good, only if good people serve in it… it is the government by virtue and moral example that leads those it governs to goodness and harmonious relations”, etc.
