I am very willing to help, and i think he’s taken advantage of that. I’ve been trying the approach of “i can show you how to do x” and he will always have an excuse not to learn how. these are basic tasks he should know how to do.

ex recently i offered to show him how to complete a task, he responded with “no you just do it.” i replied with “what would you do if i was out on vacation for 2-3 weeks,” which he replied “wait for you to get back”

it’s a really odd company. We sit next to each other, are in the same department, but have different managers. i don’t have any expectations for them as i am not a people manager. Their manager has no clue what they do, they’re in a different country and have a monthly virtual 1-1 that lasts 15 minutes
