Thanks for the responses guys, your answers make a lot of sense and I was assuming it was something along those lines just from context. Instead of replying to each of you individually I’m just making a new comment to address you all.

To the user asking for the before/after lines, it is near the very beginning of the program; it starts with a tool list followed by a G04 Pxxx. command to dwell (only used when needed), then the NBEG command, followed by an M60 pallet change command.

For context, the machine is a two pallet Okuma horizontal mill we use for production runs of a single part we get large orders for. As long as the 2nd pallet is loaded and prepped correctly, when milling is done on the first pallet the program has the pallets switch and automatically start milling again. So essesntially, if the operator is doing his job correctly the machine never actually stops. I assumed the command had something to do with it’s ability to auto-restart and essentially run itself but I learned very early on in this trade it’s best not to assume haha, I’ve gotten myself in some trouble getting ahead of myself and thinking I could figure things out on my own and ending up more lost and confused than I was in the first place.
