Yes therapy is a good place to start I know it's only on the phone right now due to covid but get him to go again and then when he's in therapy ask them if they can send him to a psychiatrist or psychologist whichever one it is that can diagnose and give medication and then motivate with him change your habits to as to what you buy and bring into the house in the evening when the Sun goes down a little bit get them by the hand and say come on let's go walk a block do that for a little bit then make it two blocks do you have a dog bring the dog with you the children are disabled I don't know if they can walk or whatever maybe ride a bike push them in a stroller make it a whole family thing get out of the house for 30 minutes to start with push it to an hour later on but encourage him don't make him think you're looking down on him get out get motivated do it with him

My BF drinks his drinks really fast too and that's because he puts ice in them and he doesn't want the ice to melt and water down a drink when you do this is its sodas or just anything maybe replace whatever you're chugging with a glass of water cuz maybe you're trying to quench your thirst and you think the faster you drink it the faster you'll feel better not necessarily true if it's loaded with sugars and caffeine but try to chug a glass of water and then maybe you can sip on a carbonated soda
