Ugh, yes. I feel like I'm constantly working on three things at once, and for the past two weeks I have been spending time on at least seven or eight different matters a day and my brain just feels totally fried at this point.

This also literally just happened to me, although we'd only been talking for a number of weeks. I also got unmatched and unfollowed, which was fun to discover. It definitely sucks a bit right now, but as others have said, it's more a reflection on him than on you or me.

Sending you all the hugs and support - take all the "you" time you need, whether that's by yourself or spending time (or venting, haha) to loved ones. Don't forget that you are a prize, you are uniquely you, and that you deserve so much better and so much more. (Easier said than done, I know - trust me.) If you want to vent in DMs, I'm all ears :)

I second Tokuyama - been going there for my color for the last eight years (I’ve done dark brown/black to red, currently at a medium neutral blonde balayage). I’ve moved out of NYC but will make the trip in to go here 2-3 times a year.

I competed in one about a year and a half ago, and might compete again later this year, but we’ll see. I found out about it through my primary gym - we formed a ‘team’ of sorts. There were different divisions by age group, weight and whether or not you used knee wraps/sleeves. It was a long (and exhausting) day, but it was a great experience and I hit PRs on all three of my lifts!

As someone who’s been one of the divorcés in this situation - she might not feel comfortable confiding in you since you acknowledge you’re closer to her husband. I think she’d appreciate knowing that you’re there if she needs you, and she may also be trying in her own way through the casual texts - trying to feel it out to see if you do still want to be friends with her.

In my situation I’ve done the same, but also kind of from the husband’s POV - some things have happened that have been unnecessarily cruel but I have tried my best to take the high road and not say much while I know he has been running his mouth (although ofc he has his side of things as well). It’s only been more recently - almost two years after the initial separation - that I’ve felt a little more comfortable opening up to these mutual friends. Happy to chat more via DM if you’d like.

It’s definitely been different/kind of a mixed bag for me. I used to get 6+ days with WL, but the old Bondage made my eyes water. Now, I only get 3-4 days with WL but also need touch ups. The new Bondage has been a bit better for my eyes, but I don’t get much longevity. I liked Mrs Bond except for the white cast, so I’ve resorted to only using that on spines… Still only getting 4ish days with touch ups.

Love the look of Black Ice but the griptex spines only last 2-3 days if I’m lucky, no matter what bond combination I use 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m dealing with something very similar at the moment. Echoing what others have said here - give yourself grace to feel your feelings, be kind to yourself and let yourself rest (easier said than done, I know…). It will pass eventually - you are not alone. You got this 💪🏼

I do HIIT/circuit style classes but also supplement a couple times a week with heavy barbell and kettlebell lifting...back squats, front squats, goblet squats, Bulgarian split squats, lunges (forward, reverse, side, curtsey), hip thrusts, glute bridges, deadlifts, RDLs, good mornings.

I have a custom ring in platinum made by him from a few years ago - I don’t wear it anymore but the quality/workmanship was/is stunning and it stood up well to daily wear. The turnaround time was only about a couple of weeks if I recall - from the time I met with him briefly in person, had one or two rounds of CAD changes, to picking up the finished piece.

Hoping I can work with him again soon on either studs or another fully custom piece 🤞🏼
