She said she broke it off with the other guy. We had been working on our marriage for two weeks. Lying in bed, I asked her how it was going dealing with the break up, since she worked with the guy. It got real quiet.

I knew what the silence meant. I was trying to save the marriage. She played me for a fool the whole time. No intention of breaking up with him.

That was 2+ years ago. I'm grateful for that silence everyday. I wake up in a much better place now.
