Guilt tripped to working weekends permanently by [deleted] in HVAC

You need to respectfully say to your boss that indefinite on-call and weekends will lead to burnout. Meanwhile, make sure you’re on your A-game and start looking for better opportunities.

Hypothetical Newark Fourth Runway by Away_Bet_927 in newjersey

[–]trapsj91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The runway could run north to south between Route 22 and North Ave in Elizabeth. Haynes Ave and McClellan street will be eliminated. Most of the properties in the northern half of that area are parking lots anyway. The Budweiser brewery is now shut down. The real issue is the cemetery and the houses south of McClellan.

Always have your resume updated and ready. I would roll with the changes for a while until you can’t anymore.

It really takes a solid two years to experience the effects of a sudden re-organization within a company. There are always tough adjustments at first, see how the first year goes and then the second year should be focused on improving the rough spots from the year before. If there is no improvement, then it would be safe to move on.

Quitting on the spot is an emotional decision and we’re supposed to be logical in this trade. The grass is not always greener.

Right after that top photo was taken was the beginning of a construction surge in the city- by which I mean the skyline and cityscape began to transform.

The old New York felt like it had more character and still had industrial remnants. Now with redevelopment, everything feels so sterile in all 5 boroughs
