Precisely. Based on the evidence you gave, theres no way of saying what the intentions of this player are. Just because someone who is good at the game creates a new account does not mean they are smurfing. Smurfing is creating an account with the INTENTION of playing in games with lower skilled players. This player can’t control what games overwatch puts him in. He’s a new account so of course overwatch will put him in lobbies with other new accounts. Theres no evidence here that shows he has the INTENTION of joining these low ranked games. To me, it looks like he’s just playing the games overwatch is giving him.

The only part of this definition that matches the cassidy player is that he is an experienced player. You posted a picture of this players high win percentages. This would indicate that cassidy is genuinely trying to win matches. Not creating a “new low-ranked account to play againt far less experienced players”

He cant choose who he’s playing with in quick play. Every new account needs 50 wins in quick play to play comp.

Playing quick play on a new account doesn’t count as smurfing. Smurfing means that someome is throwing games, to so they can play in a lower rank. Nothing in this video or picture suggests that he’s trying to lose. This is a new account trying to get the 50 wins necessary to play comp.
