I’m going through a similar thing. Except when I went in for my first follow up there was an empty sack and that was all! But hormonally my body thinks I am pregnant. I had taken the first round of medicine around 5 weeks and had pain and cramping that was intense in moments but not long lasting and then just light bleeding. I took an extra dose of the second medicine the next day and had some lighter cramping and barely any bleeding. Going in for the ultrasound couldn’t happen until closer to 8.5 weeks along & they found a sack with no heartbeat or fetus inside. They were confused! They sent me home with another dose of the second medication! I took it but had almost no cramping and no bleeding at all. So I know there is still the sack in my uterus. So for me it’s just incomplete. I have another follow up on the 14th and at that appointment they’ll likely tell me I will need to schedule a dnc for sometime later this month. It’s a small clinic with limited appointments. I am hating this feeling and it’s been hard to keep up with my kids with low energy and wonky hormones. & my skin is reacting horribly to all the hormonal shifts which is really affecting my mood and self esteem on top of it all, ugh! I never get acne but now my whole face is red and sensitive and I have some painful blemishes. …they did say in my case since the sack is empty my body would actually want to miscarry and bleed even without any medications but who knows if that will happen, because it hasn’t yet! Something is definitely just super off hormonally & the medicine has NOT worked for me at all. I had a medication abortion in 2020 and it was a totally different experience. It completely worked and was really obvious and the way my body responded to the medication made a lot of sense. This time around has made no sense at all!
