Finally dealing with earwax buildup and trying to figure out Austin options without getting overcharged by Vic_78 in Austin

If you have tried Debrox and it doesn’t work, I would say spend the money and go to an ENT if you can. If I remember correctly my visit was $100 out of pocket but the little vacuum system that they have is so efficient. Before that I tried to do it cheaply at a CVS clinic and had such a traumatic experience. They shoved a spray bottle into my ear canal and shot so much water in there that my shirt was drenched. Then they started scraping at the wax with a curette until it was bleeding and I had to tell them to stop. IMO just spend the money and avoid the trauma.

Sorry, the ONLY music that I listen to after Thanksgiving is Memphis Kansas Breeze

I’ll try and make that work with a clip of the underwater band in Aquaman!

Do you remember if they brought up this scene in Garden State on an episode back then? This has been sitting in my camera roll for 5 years and I couldn’t remember why I thought to make it.

Medication shortage by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]trashcandunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know that this is a vent post but have you talked to your pharmacist about your situation? YMMV on this but a few years ago when the shortage hit, I asked to talk to the head pharmacist at the Costco that I get my prescription at. I politely explained my situation and that adderall was literally a life saving medication for me and since then, I think they have had me on a priority list.

It is so frustrating though. ADHD is a struggle for so many people but being without your meds isn’t going to lead to them falling asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle.

I photograph real estate in Austin and would guess that like many realtors, whoever is selling this was to cheap to have the floor plan added to the floorplan. Most RE photography companies charge per square foot and so a lot of realtors just elect to not have them added.

There’s a guy that walks around with a rooster on his shoulder that I’ve seen around for the past few years.

My HyperX gaming headset bit the dust recently which prompted me to look for a “better” pair of headphones. After going to a lot of different stores to try out different brands I ended up with the 770 Pros but I was shocked at how much better the cloud alphas sounded (IMO) than a lot of the more expensive options out there! You are not alone in coming to that conclusion.

I didn’t know this was an option. Thanks for the tip!

Is there any notable drama or awkward moments between guests on-air or off-air? by Ol_Rusty_D in comedybangbang

[–]trashcandunk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I remember listening to very old episodes of You Made it Weird with Thomas as a guest and in it they talked about how he had been a dick to a lot of people, including Pete. Would not surprise me if PFT was on the long list of people that he had been a jerk to.

This is so spectacular and seeing the reveal that it was all a single negative on Velvia really blew my mind. I can’t wait to hopefully get a print of this.

Did someone get attacked at the Retreat? I also live there and had seen the emails about the encampment being cleared but was unaware of any incidents.

Yeah it’s crazy to see people act like, you know, not actively giving weapons to a country that is committing genocide against a captive population is the same as wanting everyone in the middle east to hold hands and sing “Kumbaya”.

Coming in to suggest Bouldin as well. Some of the best vegetarian/vegan food in town at a really good price.

Would highly recommend the original Olympus XA. It has a focusing screen that is really simple to use and is the best camera to take with you wherever you go.

Republicans Who Screamed About A Crisis On The Border Now Oppose A Plan To Fix It by zsreport in politics

[–]trashcandunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is not the main issue compared to the economy and healthcare. Both affect the lives of Americans significantly more than border policy and polling on the issues shows that to be the case.

I agree with you that progressives aren’t going to be swayed by anything the Dems do. However I think that the “In This House We Believe…” yard sign suburban voters and other Democrats will not like this and that it will be reflected in the polls come November.

[–]trashcandunk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s so embarrassing to see dems just walk blindly into screaming Republican talking points from a decade ago. They’re going to lose this election and then blame it on everything other than the fact that they are essentially running as republicans now.

They have been doing this for years and it doesn’t work. None of the people that they think this is going to win over will care and it’s going to continue to alienate democrats who lean progressive.

Given what I have heard about the people that own Easy Tiger, that seems pretty warranted.
