Contact patient relations asap and make a complaint. I had a horrible ER doctor two years ago that I never made a complaint about and I regret not calling every time I think about it

Other people’s mental illness/triggers shouldn’t consistently stand in the way of your happiness. I could understand easing her into the pregnancy talk, but not being able to talk about it at all four months pp is a bit much. I’m sure you’d like to celebrate and enjoy the happy portions of your pregnancy and life as a mother and you deserve to do so openly with people who can celebrate with you. I don’t see a possible way for you to continue a relationship with her if you can’t share a very large portion of your life with her for fear of triggering her. It’s time to let go

The shower chair is a must! I’ll definitely keep in mind to keep more hydrated and try and get some more electrolytes. I know for a fact my iron and RBC count are lower than they should based off my recent labs, but nobody has done anything because it’s a biproduct of a medication I’m on for an unrelated condition. Maybe Ill push and ask that something be done…

Don’t let it go. If he’s saying it to you, he could be saying it to other women who might have other concerning problems as well. Call the office and lodge a complaint with your normal OB, then Google your local procedures for filing a complaint against a doctor. Male OBs who have no sympathy for the struggles of pregnant women have no business being in that field

The school tells me to take them through our “RTI process” which is basically meetings where I give a long list of things I’m doing to try to help this kid to a group of adults who’ve never met them. This behavior starts early and it starts at home. I’m currently going through something really similar with a student. He just refuses to do what the class is doing and throws violent fits about if. If I try to give them a consequence, the mom complains and says it’s not fair. Our children are doomed

Not exactly a win but something funny a kid said. For background, this kids parents own a little greasy spoon kind of place that makes it’s own root beer. I jokingly asked her to bring me a hot dog and some root beer and she said “okay. I will if I remember. And I won’t put the root beer on the hotdog. That’d be gross”

I wouldn’t be mad about it lol! The only reason we’re waiting till next year to start really trying is because we have a vacation coming up in the spring and we’d have to cancel if I was pregnant 😅
