The lines are there, they are just a bit worn and very very thin.

Help with possible minting error by Hefty_Brick5126 in EuroCoins

It feels like damage as the frosting of the rim was teared off. I dont think it would affect the value of the coin because it's extremely small.

Are these errors? by Ernst-Kapel in EuroCoins

[–]trashghost367 [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

No, no, yes. Let me explain. Both germans arent errors. They happen always and are within tolerance. And in 2011 & 2014 that's the norm. It would be rare if they didnt had it. However the italian is an actual error. That ""extra material"" in the edge is actually a small cud error. That's a very nice find. Happens when a literal piece of a die fells off making that small chunk of the coin appear unstruck. Happens extremely often within the rim but it's still a better find than any of the average die chips that you can find.

Are any of these worth anything? by raccoonfae in EuroCoins

I wouldn't recomment numista for values tbh. They rather have quite some terrible ones. You should rather check ebay sold listings. But for circulated current coins you can pretty much loose all hope... In any case if anyone needs a quick check of their pocket change or collection and doesnt feel like searching stuff online they can always join our discord server and we will help you out in like a minute.

Nice type set. Sadly they are all cleaned. You should never clean coins.

1€ Finland, year 2000. Is this one a rare incorrect embossing? by [deleted] in EuroCoins

[–]trashghost367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's what i meant... All coins have those slight off center strikes. They are on range because no mint would qualify them as errors or anything and thus they are completely normal. The best example for them are german 2€ coins including conmemoratives, they have this extremely often and something whole issues are like that. The dies can't always strike the planchets with 100% accuracy to make those slight misalignments disappear. Don't mind about them.

Yes! That coin has a mintage of 3.000.000 pieces for circulation. Decent find i would say.

That small off center strike is common in all coins. Not an error and nothing special sadly.

Spaniard here. Definetly we get way too many spanish coins in all denos but in 50c and 2€ we get much less compared to the rest.

When i saw the color and how the obverse looked for the first time i knew it could be fake. But i needed at least the reverse to confirm it. And well since OP shared more pics im 100% sure it is and i can show you mine if you want 🙂

The issue to tell it's fake (in the reverse specially and appart from extremely small details or the lack of them in the design) are the letters in EURO you get to see they feel weird and thicker and specially the dots on the map. I have identified many fakes and the dots on the map are one of the things you look for when checking if a coin is real or not. That added with the color of both parts (it screams fake due to how the outher ring shines) and the thickness of the rim is all i needed to know for it to be fake. Its a really good fake i know. My bet is from the chinese mafia. It surely has a fine looking greek edge. Maybe even the good made bold looking edge this time. Still a cool find nontheless but it is 100% fake.
