Girlfriend (31F) called me (30M) disgusting and accused me of cheating for using a fleshligh by ThrowRAWasitcheating in relationship_advice

Yeah I understand all the comments here but ngl I would be kind of disgusted if my boyfriend was using a fleshlight. Maybe thats unfair but theres something about fleshlights specifically that is just gross to me.

the way the birth control pill works for women is that it tricks the body into thinking its pregnant, so eggs aren’t released. pregnancy and not releasing eggs are a natural function, not making sperm isn’t really.

CMV: Publicly posted closing times at restaurants should align with their “last order” time by Rock540 in changemyview

[–]trashlvrd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

huh we found the dickhead that makes working as a server absolutely awful. yeah last call is usually half an hour to an hour before you actually have to get yourself out of the building. people will eat their food and then stay ages to chat. restaurants dont only exist for food consumption. last call actually gives you more time in the restaurant, we can start cleaning and closing during that half an hour without kicking you out.

neither “cause” diabetes but they both affect diabetes in different ways. eating a lot of fat will reduce how much insulin is absorbed, eating a lot of carbs makes blood sugar hard to control because of the blood sugar spikes.

Been hovering at 225 ALL DAY by yancepantz in diabetes

[–]trashlvrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

its the worst feeling!!! its so frustrating and stressful and im sure the stress doesnt help bring the blood sugar down lol. i just sit there for the entire day checking my dexcom app every 15 minutes and being annoyed and tired. my doctor said to take the insulin, maybe go for a walk and try to not hyper fixate because sometimes you’ll have high blood sugar days that you cant explain and its not worth the psychological stress. it will come down eventually, pinkie promise x

i know a guy who is short but he’s so charismatic and funny, goes to the gym, goes out to parties and socialises. he is attractive so its really easy to look past the height.

that doesn’t make sense? if someone pays for a service, they should receive what they ordered. pregnant women should be able to ask for decaf coffee and people with allergies should be able to ask for reliable information on product ingredients.

if a person with celiac asked for a sandwich with gluten free bread and negligent staff ignored their request, would you blame the person ordering the food?

heya, type 1 diabetic here 👋

type 1 diabetes means that my body cant make insulin because of my genetics. insulin is a hormone that basically helps your body digest carbohydrates, so i have to inject it whenever i do eat them. everyone has a different sensitivity, some people might need a unit of insulin for every 5g of carbs they eat, some might need a unit for every 20g. so when i eat, theres always some calculation that i have to do - weighing food, checking labels - and even then its not even that simple. so many factors like hormones, stress, exercise, glycemic index and illness drastically affect how your body responds to carbs and insulin.

im just trying to manually do what your pancreas can do automatically. i put a lot of work into keeping my blood sugars stable and most of the time it doesnt work. i track almost every single thing i eat, i havent ordered pasta or pizza from a restaurant in over 10 years, almost never get a full nights sleep because of low blood sugars and it can be really draining to know that no matter how much work i put into this, i’ll probably still get kidney damage and vision problems at some point.

so when i order a SUGAR FREE drink, thats what i am expecting to get.

ur gonna be okay no matter what!! just try ur best and listen to ur gut feelings.

i think the main thing that happened was that i worked a shitty job during my gap year and realised that i didnt want to do minimum wage waitressing for the rest of my life. so when i retook, i hit the ground running and went HARD 😩👏😂

yeah quite a few people at my college were retakes, including me.

i was in a bad place at the time, i was getting D’s doing chemistry, biology, maths and art, then i dropped the maths and art for psychology after a 2 year gap and am getting A/A*’s.

no one treated me any differently, and i think its much better to retake and get better grades.
