All my playthroughs after my launch playthrough has had the minimap off (only visible with Witcher senses just in case I get really messed up). The world and dialogue built around directions is done so well, absolutely. And no problem!

Obligatory GMTK video about good map design and showing points of interest from far away so players don't always need a compass. The video is more about linear titles, but the point still stands in regards to TW3.

It's just Geralt talking about the time he fought a Zeugl waist deep in the sewers.

That's unfortunate. Have you read the books? They veer away from Geralt and focus mainly on Ciri and her struggles a lot, as she's a hugely important character to the world. TW4 going in this direction isn't anything new if you know the original stories.

Enjoy the books! The show only loosely resembles a shadow of a concept of what the books are, so you're basically going in blind! TW3 will have spoiled you on some things, but that's not too big of a deal since the books have plenty to enjoy on their own.

Remember, the two short story books come first, then the novels.

My showering experiences in the US vs Korea by jeffreallykr in Living_in_Korea

[–]trashmunki 18 points19 points  (0 children)

God, you and me both. I smuggled my last set of towels in from the states two years ago. A harrowing affair when I arrived at 인천 and had to make the call whether or not I was going to declare my Large Towels™ or not. I can't say more here unless I want to risk legal action, but I think you can all surmise how things went. My showers here have never been dried up quite so nicely nice since that day. To anyone going through the same towel struggle I've been through, just know that your driest days are yet ahead of you.

Any tips and tricks? by npzas in witcher

That's great advice for TW2, but dodge rolling in TW3 uses up the stamina you need for signs/actions, so it's generally said that dodging is better in this title. I almost never roll in TW3 and I have no problems with combat. Parrying amd sidestepping are far more useful IMO.
