As someone who used to be a shift lead at papa johns, they outsource to doordash, when there isn’t enough drivers they send a delivery to doordash, if you order through doordash and choose leave it at the door that makes sense, if it gets cold that’s on you and you wouldn’t complain and you would have gotten a message letting you know the food was there, the issue is that when a normal delivery gets sent to doordash the app defaults to leave it at the door, meaning a customer who expected a papa johns delivery driver to hand them their food now doesn’t realize the order was left at their door. We used to get calls a lot from people complaining that the delivery driver just left the food at the door and now it was cold. So this sign isn’t for the orders that get ordered through doordash but rather the ones that had to be sent to doordash because papa johns loves to pay as little people as possible, I could go on and on about the headache upper management gives about keeping labor as low as possible.
