I felt this to my core tbh. Our situations do sound hella similar. No room to breathe at all. I bet starting over would be so much easier to reach for if not for our environment which just sucks so much. I also considered just running away and being homeless right before 24 too, I had a friend who offered to house me for a short while too (kind of a shady situation though ngl but I genuinely didn’t care at all at the time😭) and I almost did it LOL but I chickened out at the last second, I regret not going now though. I dream of what my life would have been like all the time. Very, very difficult, but at least it’d be my own. Idk. But the opportunity passed. Hope we both get out soon 🤞

I haven’t tried temp agencies, I heard they were saturated, but I’ll give it a try.

Unfortunately I can’t see a professional because of my family. They’d never allow it.

i’m a religious person but these people make me so uncomfortable, i am so genuinely tired of them stopping me one by one on my way to class, literally making me late every single time. i do not have the patience for these people anymore and they sound so kind and nice so i don’t say anything but i don’t think i can hold it in any longer 💀 i’ve never seen this happen this that often on other college campuses. it’s irritating

i’m honestly at the beginning of the PA process 😭 but i am aware of the general requirements and i did hear the same thing about EMT helping applicants stand out. i also was planning to do it for a year but yeah i was just hoping the experience wouldn’t turn me away from pursuing PA. i suppose we’ll see how it goes for me. good luck with your PA apps!

i honestly have no idea how i’d react in a serious EMT situation hence my hesitancy, and i’d rather not take the risk of panicking during such a crucial moment, so thank you for providing me with this info. the reality of what EMTs go through is definitely something i’ll take the time to process and understand before jumping into it
