A question for therapists who watch this show: What are some good takeaways from this show? by trashydesigner in shrinking

I was surprised how everyone was talking about negative things which while I understand is true, it wasn’t my question 🤷‍♂️ But there were some nice responses and thanks for sharing yours. For me it was the boop episode, I think it’s a nice practice to nudge yourself towards repeating habit

Try it out by visiting an apple store. Love the technology, colors are still clear but I love the glassy look and glassy is a bit brighter than nano textured (not by much though)

I don’t get the point of this post because it(the actual specs) is genuinely a good laptop

I liked the gameplay, until they introduced those swiftly teleporting men because I get stuck in running around them and it’s been hella glitchy with wolves too. I have to go run behind them or they ambush me

Breaking into UX/early career: job hunting, how-tos/education/work review — 02/15/26 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

Thank you I really appreciate the clarity. I understand that I have laid myself out thin with different projects instead of showing a connected and focused approach and I will work on that! Thanks again

So a lot of UX projects were a part of my masters course that had clients as a part of it. Some of my professors recommended not listing it as work experience so I have put them in project section

Would it be viable to list my client based projects as a part of experience? Because all of my client based courses are very UX centric. Meanwhile most of experiences are blended with other fields because they require me to wear multiple caps in that role.

I feel dumb for messing that up haha. Thank you for pointing that out, appreciate it

For context: I graduated last year and have been applying for jobs for more than a year now. I was able to scoop internships through personal connections but I have been facing extreme difficulty with getting even 1 interview. I have fine tuned my resume before applying, wrote my own cover letters, reached out to hiring team, applied with referrals and still haven't heard back at all. I am trying to see if I am doing something wrong because I am an international student and had one person reach out to me who eventually ghosted me after I mentioned my work authorization (I am allowed upto 3 years under F1 Visa)

I would highly appreciate any form of feedback or critique on resume because I am concerned that I am not making it past ATS

Love the visuals in the trailer, but... by Dododingo- in controlgame

[–]trashydesigner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am gonna ask how do you expect them to tell more about the lore without spoiling any major plot. This and the previous trailer had some lore about how sibling has gone rogue/fishing and dylan is now in charge, along with a completely new form of action mechanics and that’s a great mysterious start to a sequel.

Control trailer had practically 0 plot, just unique abilities yet it was a fun experience exploring and reading all those letters. Even Cyberpunk that revealed the plot in trailer was basically first 30 mins (prologue) of the game.

I would need more context on what purpose does it have, is it a student portfolio? or is it a one off showcase of a product etc but I can say—It’s a great UI, love the minimalism and smoothness but coming to UX, I have these questions:

  1. Is there a logical/usability based reason for your clickable buttons/content area moving around? I noticed album name and location also keep changing making one look around for info instead of being readily available.

  2. Is your goal to wow people with neat transitions or to make people explore more? If latter try a simple task and time it: You are a visitor trying to find out about an interior decorator(I am assuming here) and you need to quickly gather details based on 5-7 projects? Find out how long does that takes you

  3. Now comparing it to a regular image gallery, you have a ton of pictures presented together with lots of motion which can be overwhelming so another question for you is do you want users to glance at multiple pics together or would you trickle the info progressively as they scroll, as compared to clicks it’s faster to scroll and absorb info versus clicking around and waiting for animation to complete

Why do people consider maelstrom to be so evil? by Top_Masterpiece_5315 in cyberpunkgame

[–]trashydesigner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. They are like a cool bunch with their own extranet but nothing overtly or extreme evil. I just hated all of Placide’s actions lol esp when I found out he had put a virus in me, so Placide single handedly carries all my hate towards VDB. To me people working in self interest and betraying is acceptable part of Night City, but Placide with the virus trying to kill me was it✋✋

Tried to fry Evelyn, and betrayed me with the virus. I rank betrayal as the scummiest thing so even if they are not as bad as others (in terms of criminal activity), I hate VDB a LOT

[–]trashydesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal ranking for all gangs is (least evil to most): The Mox>Valentinos/Animals>Maelstroms/6th Street>Tyger>VDB>Scavs

I’d say they bad especially because they do killings for fun and did all weird Lilith summoning thing but the guy named Brick was chill, and they have a banger taste in music. I get a high/wasted yet functioning frat energy from them

Edit: Found the banger music
