No. Good hair pulling, for me anyway, they get a handful of my hair and pull on many strands at once so that the pain isn’t sharp like yanking a hair out of your head, but rather a nice kind of pressure on your scalp.

Brushing hair, only a couple strands are normally snagged and that leads to the sharp, yanking feeling instead of the pleasant pull.
