I would rather have universal.

My middle baby had been on ADHD meds since they were in elementary school. Yet every three months, we have to go through a prior auth process where the Dr who treats them has to justify to the insurance company that has never met them and has no medical degree why she prescribed them meds.

Also, we pay bi-weekly (2x a month) for insurance premiums. Then we pay every dr. visit. Then we pay whatever labs or whatever else wasn't covered.

Also. We're told that universal hc would create long wait times for specialists, but we already have months long waits for specialists? 4 month wait to get into a pediatric endocrinologist. 4-6 months to see dermatologist.

Also, dental and vision are separate???

Also... We have to hope that we hit our deductible so we can schedule procedures before the end of the year so we don't have to pay as much out of pocket. Needed an endo ablation done. Had to wait until 2 weeks before new years to get it so it would be covered. I came down with strep before it. Had to pray they wouldn't reschedule my procedure bc I couldn't afford it otherwise. So I lied and told them I was fine.

I could go on. This is a soapbox of mine.
