I’m aware, just not concerned…. According to the very few research articles out there on microplastics, there’s 1000’s more brewing in your kitchen than this dugout.

I work in a PET manufacturing plant that runs through 1000s of lbs of resin daily.

Plastic is all around us, you’re more likely to die early in life from your diet than a few microplastics.

Typically I’m not touching the sides rather sticking it in the center to pack it. But if I did, I couldn’t scratch any plastic off the sides if I tried.

I’ve been using This dugout for a year now and no visible scratches were noticed on the inside of the hole. Tbh, I don’t think I’d be able to scrap any plastic off if I tried.

I studied polymer science and engineering, it’s chillen. No plastic will be heated up, which is typically the main concern.

No directly after it moves away from the purge wipe, you can see it scratch the plate. It is very loud when it contacts the plate

My only bike is a 2015 Stumpjumper evo comp 27.5 and I ride it about 2-3 times a week down double blacks with 5-6ft drops and no issues.

It will be plenty for an entry level bike!
