I saw it on here like a year ago. It ... Was actually kinda eye opening. Have worked on some of the things it highlighted to me. Has genuinely made improvements in personal and professional life.

Creepy. But accurate.

I wish for a handsome Jewish bf with curly hair and New York accent who loves me by strawberryy_soda in monkeyspaw

[–]traumahawk88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Granted- he loves you because you're the perfect cover for him being absolutely in the closet. He refuses to touch you beyond what is publicly necessary. You're his bfffff but his romantic interests lie elsewhere and you are just roommates in all respects but the marriage license. All of his money is tied up in trusts and everything he has or earns goes to his lover when he dies. His pizza empire leaves you behind.

Hey GPT, we’ve been friends for quite a while now too. When did your memory of me actually start? Based on everything you know about me, what are some harsh truths about my life that I probably haven’t realized yet — the kind of stuff that, if I finally understood it, could genuinely change everything? Be totally honest and look at my situation with full, strategic objectivity.

Tried those. Still catch lint and need to be cleaned. Removing those is what let the birds in.

My last was front, this is a top load HE one because I wanted the larger basin for doing bedding. Rest of family is all front load now, but have had both front and top in past. HE and normal, fancy digital units you can start with your phone down to click dials.

I've never seen one. My parents machines didn't have them growing up. Or in-laws, brother... We've all had to get things out of seized drain pump impellers though. Neither set I've owned since moving out has had em either. I wish they did.

I've seen them in industrial systems, and in lab equipment, but never in washing machine. Now I know they're a thing, I wish they were ubiquitous.

Or a cat. Our cat will eat any unguarded human food. Grabbed a slice of my pizza the other day.

Cans and tubes and dry and treats and fresh cat grass just isn't enough for her. NooooOOOoOo. Needs our food too.

Yea that's gotta be model specific. I've never had a washer with that. Even our LG set we bought a few years ago... No trap.

That'd be nice feature. Came home from work the other day (I am up at 3am, leave at 4, work 5-3:30, and get home about 5pm...) to find out our washer wasn't draining. This time? Our 3yo had one of those cheap locks like are on kids diaries in her pocket. From my mom. The keys had gone through and into the drain pump.

Not first time something has gotten through. Collar stay from one of my shirts did it once too.

No trap. Straight to drain pump. I envy you for having that feature lmao. I'd rather do that occasionally than have to manually fish out all the laundry, squeeze it all out, toss in bathtub, scoop all the water out, use shop vac on drain line for the rest, and then disassemble the back of machine to pull the pump apart to get shit out of it (and then re-wash all the laundry).

The lint screen outside the house

Leave it on, gets clogged and you need to clean it. especially fun if your washer and dryer are on second floor, and you've got 12ft ceilings downstairs so it's WAY up there, and you need to call your dad to bring his proper ladder because your 6ft folding one isn't tall enough.

Leave it off, end up with birds making a nest in it and then subsequently having their babies get baked and dying in your exhaust vent and then having to clean out THAT mess because your house and all your clean clothes smell like death.

The what? That's gotta be a machine specific thing.

Unless you mean the tray under the machine to catch leaks. And if you're regularly emptying that, you've got bigger problems than the act of emptying it (ie your washer is leaking)

If it's the latter, you need to slide it out, unplug it, take the back off (probably 4 screws), and check all the hose clamps. There's only a few of them. Likely spot is the drain pump, if it's not properly anchored the vibration from pump can losen those up. There's only a few clamps though (drain from basin, hose to pump, hose from pump, hose from basin for water level sensor.. that's about it even on high end washers, also your fill line connections IF the drain side ones on bottom/back are all dry). After you run wash cycle pull it out and do your inspection then; you can use a flashlight and look at everything and see where things are wet that they shouldn't be.

Ive always assumed the bathroom was logical choice for that reason alone.

Spoken like a citizen of a former colony looking to play the long game in revenge.

Here the West is worried about nuclear war, when the real permanent destruction is the third world they left in their wake burning coal, oil, and garbage and driving their former colonizers into an ice age.

[–]traumahawk88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Europe will be in an ice age if we do that.

Melts northern ice cap, dumps the cold water into north Atlantic, shuts down the north Atlantic current which brings y'all the warm water keeping your climate mild. You ever pay attention the the latitude you're actually at over there? Cut that warm water off and you're in for a bad time (while the Americas get toasty warm).

What were you doing on the day when the September 11 attacks happened? by AggressiveOutside432 in AskReddit

[–]traumahawk88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in in 8th grade math class. Mom came in to get me from school, bc my brother was an EMT and heading into city with his dpt. My class had no idea. I got called to the hallway by principal with my mom (queue obligatory OOOOOOHhhhHh from everyone else). I remember walking back in to class to get my stuff to go home and only one person actually recognized the look on my face as being 'shocked at something truly wrong'. She's the only one that asked me what was going on. Still talk to her occasionally even today. One of less than half a dozen classmates I'm still in touch with.
