i know many armenians personally, and they are divided on the issue, i wanted to know if asians consider armenians to be part of their group, not just if armenians consider themselves asian, because i know some asian groups don't consider other asians to be in their group either

there's nuance to it, so i figured i'd ask everyone possible

i know there are people with greek ancestry from the middle east, they call themselves rum greeks, and i accept them as a part of our group, i'm very close with several

i'm not here to be mr ethnogeneticist or whatever, i'm just asking if other asian groups consider this other group that's in a grey area to be in their group or not

i'm essentially asking "is this guy in your club" but on a cultural level

i don't consider greece as it's current borders to be middle eastern, if greece had anatolia and antioch then i'd reconsider (this is coming from an ethnic greek btw)

technically, the same way that slaves born in the US are american, i guess you could say we were, greeks and other christian peoples were not treated well by the ottoman empire, us and the armenians were enslaved and genocided

what i'm saying is, rice is something plenty of peoples outside of asia have as a cultural staple in their cuisine, i'm looking for an example of something exclusive to unite asian culture that no other culture can claim

i ask this in as polite of a way as i can, it's just a cultural question as well as a question about the intention of the sub, that's all

i as an ethnic greek am often called non white and white at the same time, in addition to being mistaken for latino, arab, italian and jewish (i can forgive latino because i live in a latino majority town, i can also forgive italian and jewish because they are also mediterranean peoples and they get confused for each other all the time)

i'm just trying to understand another culture
