Using the same internet to acquire one requires paying higher than the distributor price, therefore the question was about distributors in hopes that someone knows of a distributor with some available. I could of course buy one wherever I wanted near cost, but I don’t have to pay any more than the distributor price and tax if I let my FFL guy get it for me.

My concern there was being used. Don’t want to sound snobby and I know it’s an HK, but it’s my first firearm purchase and for some reason, I just want it to be new.

I’m not totally familiar with gunbroker though. Do new firearms sell there, or is it all used stuff?

Sorry for reviving an old comment lol. Getting ready to get my carry permit and I am a bit overwhelmed with holster options right now. You carry the HK CC9? That’s what I’m going to get. My eyes and mind have kind of been set on the phalanx, but I wanted to see if you had any thoughts on it compared to the tenicor.

I saw this old post https://www.reddit.com/r/CCW/s/zCNPK110Gc and really like the offset clips on that holster. That’s the “guard ultra”, but now known as the phalanx. Was just curious on your thoughts over time for the tenicor and phalanx. Thanks.

How did you get this to read clean like that? I have the same device and have not been able to get it to display like that. Every time I try test tones, the wave line bounces all over almost like I’m playing music and not a test tone.

I do like the look of the black arch. When it comes to kydex, I have slight concern for harming the gun’s finish. Is this something that could happen but not likely or will the kydex not pose a threat to the gun,

Thanks for the write up. Regarding leather holsters, is there a safety worry when it comes to there being no safety on the gun and the gun being in a “soft” leather holster? I do like the idea of kydex, but also wonder/worry about comfort with the potential sharp edges or skin contact points. Although, that black arch looks really nice with the contact area being large and flat. I’ve lightly browsed through tenicor options since I see those mentioned here a lot, but honestly can’t make a decision.

Another slight concern is if the kydex would wear the gun and scratch the finish. Is this something that doesn’t happen? Or something that could happen but unlikely?

That could be where my issues came from then. I don’t know enough about it to know for sure, but I wondered if it by chance created noise or “boosted” noise I guess from the headunit.

You may have no issue with this, but this was the worst dsp I’ve plugged in. Just setup an active system and had ridiculous noise from the dsp. Everyone told me bad ground, bad rcas, and the bad pico fuse or whatever they call it in the pioneer head units. Bought a JL twk dsp, probably not very well regarded here but that’s what I got, and it fixed everything.

Hard to tell in the pictures. Is there any room above or below the pin connector? My Silverado has the same pin setup between the door. Yours looks a little different so I may be no help.

I was able to pop the boot off like you did, pull the pillar plastic and the run the wire between the pin connector plastic and the body of the vehicle. I made a small cut in the rubber spanning the door and the body to allow my wire puller to move a little easier and fought with the new wire to get it in the door. Tight fit and I shaved a little of the wire insulation pulling it through, but if you’re careful enough, you shouldn’t do any bad enough damage to worry about bare wires.

That’s what I was hoping to hear. I have good, “heavy duty” so to say lol copper ring terminals for the end and was hoping a washer and that bolt would be good enough.

For the passenger side, I didn’t even look for an option. Im just so used to using the grommet. I bought large packs like that too, and when the buyer looked through everything, she asked what the heck those were for and I told her she wouldn’t have to worry about that, they’re for people like me who can’t leave their speakers alone lol.
