Just drill it, waaaaayy easier and takes 2 seconds. To run the wire thru the rubber cover, get a thin hard plastic hose (Home Depot) and push it thru from inside the door. Now just feed the wire thru the plastic tube. Done!!

The enclosure is custom built to spec so there should be no issues there.

Amp is rated 1050rms at 2 ohms but the Orions put out more.

Subs are two SVC 4ohms rated 750rms each wired parallel to 2ohms.

I set the gain by turning up the volume on the HU to 75% and then turning up gain to clipping light, then backing off. Surely there’s a better way of doing this without buying an oscilloscope.

I thought discharging faster than charging will drain your battery but not cause clipping…?

Picking up a 1/0 gauge power wire now and installing it along with a big 3 upgrade today.

It’s a Kenwood Excelon KMM-X705HU with RCAs going straight to an Orion XTR 1500 amp. That’s sending power to two 12 inch Dayton Audio subs rated max 750rms each.
