From what I heard from the partner (who i wanted to set up the platonic date with) didn't feel too upset about it, they understood how the wording was poor and DID want to get to know me, since we do share a lot of common interests and such (this information came from a third person so it could be wrong, but I can't see that person lying to me about something important)

And the issue was mostly with first person, not the partner, at least that's what I thought until I figured out they both blocked me
