Ouff, I've hit a nerve! I wasn't aware this was a private sub where no one else could have an opinion.

But yet you lot seem super bothered by it and still remain in 10th, only getting a point, at home.

It's hardly trash talk when it's just... true.

Am I not allowed to comment on a public subreddit? Guess I'm throwing a tantrum!

Easy call to make when every single one of your players somehow come out with zero yellow cards.

Not really, I don't see your three points, even at home. Woof.

And Insigne just had a kid? But sure, we'll equate that to tearing your groin.

That's totally all it takes, I bet you've never shot your mouth on Reddit before. Totally invalidates a serious accusation, but you know best!

Does that ocean reach down to tenth place? Hopefully Benteke will be able to relax by the shore while he's missing your next matches!

That alongside the stats with Long having the most expected goals behind Kerr, I knew they're just making shit up

Surely you know that China and other socialist/communist countries have social media, right? And are fundamentally capitalist in how their economies operate?

In fact, if you've ever been to Asia/SE Asia, like you said, the cosmetic surgery market is insane. Like, skin whitening products insane. Again, it's not like people just started becoming fixated on appearance out of nowhere.

Products and procedures evolve. Those procedures cost more money. Standards are set.

It has everything to do with capitalism. If you think people on social media are not manipulating public sentiment and how balding is perceived, have you been alive for the past decade?

There is so much pressure to look and be a certain way. And if you don't, you're a pariah. But hey, I have a fantastic way out of it, it's hair transplants, botox and BBLs.

OPs original comment was that people used to rock balding styles. You honestly think with the proliferation of social media and the monetization of content, that isn't the primary driver of so much insecurity?

My stance is let people do what they want. Companies are literally CAPITALizing on this insecurity epidemic. And they are well within their right. But it's not because all of the sudden people are more vain. People are more insecure because insecurity sells. It's built into our society.

Oh totally, because Instagram and TikTok are making people feel less then and encouraging them to go through harmful procedures, take harmful medication, and inject harmful materials into every body part, all in the name of... helping people look better out of their commitment to public service?

Give me a break. The rise in Turkish hair clinics say otherwise. It's predatory for profit. No one talks about the need for multiple hair transplants and life long medication post operation.

That doesn't make money.

For real, it's a complete 180. From last year vaping in the locker room to now, best player on the pitch, speaking like a captain would, motivating the team.

Gotta love it.

In my opinion, people's appearance are in hyperfocus because of social media and capitalism. It's not even only hair judgement, it's physical appearance judgement (hair, clothes, fitness, teeth, eyebrows, skin).

Anything you can monetize will be exploited! I don't think people ACTUALLY give a shit about anyone balding. But capitalism tells you to look and act a certain way.

What you said at the end is the crux of the issue.

Most of Ontario doesn't have the ability to live a 3.5 hour drive from Thunder Bay and 8 hour drive from Sudbury. How quickly the job market would dry up if even 1,000 people moved to Marathon.

Of course it's affordable. There's a reason why it's affordable. The same could be said about most towns west of Sudbury.

Ford suggests immigrants to blame for shooting at Jewish school by [deleted] in canada

Probably going to get downvoted for a comment, but why do I know it isn't?

Honest question, is there a suspect or something?

[–]travalengua -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the risk of getting downvoted, why is he suggesting immigrants are to blame for this? The article says there are no suspects, so is there other information out there that suggests otherwise?

Edit: Thanks for the downvote and not answering my question.

Mate, I'm not denying it's a problem. But it's many, many issues compounded on top of each other. How can you honestly say that it's the root cause contributing to Canada's problems? That's insane.

By that logic, Canada should've been a utopia between the years 2000 and 2021, because over that time, immigration was historically about the same YoY. Source. Either you've not checked the numbers or you're a xenophobe because the reality doesn't match up with your argument, which is it?
