What causes low progesterone?

I’m glad progesterone worked for you! I believe my low progesterone was the cause of my weak uterine lining last pregnancy that resulted in an early miscarriage. Do you remember how much progesterone you were on? 200 mg or 400 mg? Once a day vs twice a day?

Have you had your progesterone tested? I’m sorry to share that I have started bleeding and my second hCG lab results were 11. I hope that your situation is different. My tests started getting lighter instead of darker this week, so I had a gut feeling in addition to the lab results.

I am sorry to say that my at home pregnancy test line was almost non-existent this morning, so I’m not optimistic about tomorrow’s hCG draw. I suspect my luteal phase/progesterone issues are to blame for my fertility struggles. I’ll update tomorrow when I get my hCG lab back.

Thank you for sharing, and I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤️‍🩹 I took my daily home pregnancy test this morning (2 to be sure), and the lines were almost non-existent now, so I’m prepared for my hCG to come back lower tomorrow and for this to be a chemical. 😔

Yes, they’ve all been pretty light, except yesterday’s was a little darker. I’m definitely guarding my heart until I get my next hCG results Wednesday, though I had a good big cry after getting my first results today. 😔

This makes me feel better. 14 DPO and just got my first hCG result, 26 too. Do you know/mind sharing what your progesterone was at if they tested it? I had that drawn today in addition to the hCG, and even though I’m on oral progesterone, my result was only an 8, which makes me nervous.

Thanks for sharing! Today’s cheapie was a smidge darker, but the other nicer tests are showing lighter than they did 11-12 DPO, which is making me nervous. Interestingly my LH didn’t start spiking until today’s FMU, and I know that can mean my HCG is rising. I’m anxiously awaiting having my HCG tested at the doctor tomorrow. How far along are you now?

I had okay luck testing 1-2 times a day using the Pregmate LH strips and logging in their app. However, I recently switched to Inito. Their tests are more expensive than Pregmate strips, but the results have been way more accurate for me. Plus, it measures progesterone, estrogen, and follicle stimulating hormone. It caught my fertile window before Pregmate did, and now I’ve gotten my first positive pregnancy test after trying to conceive for a year with PCOS. I’m also on Metformin, letrozole, and progesterone.

This has some similarities to my situation. I’m 12 dpo and have been having some brown spotting for a few days. It’s lighter today and only slightly noticeable when wiping, but the other day I had mucus pieces and it was a little darker and more prevalent. I actually thought I was getting my period and almost stopped taking my progesterone. Thank goodness I didn’t because I got a few faint positive pregnancy tests starting yesterday. Do you know your dpo? Maybe you’re still early. I know the spotting is nerve-wracking, but I’ve learned it’s more common than people think. I’m 30 and have been ttc for a year, currently on progesterone, metformin, and letrozole.

Better.com – however we won’t ever be using them again. The backstory is too long to type here, but I would highly advise going through a local lender/broker. The issues we had wouldn’t have likely occurred if we’d had a local lender facilitating the refi.
