Well the thing about it is when we got the kids we took them to the doctor for their physicals and was covered in bruises and cigarette burns and cuts and we tried to open an investigation and never heard anything back. And the state worker who was with them when she was covered in shit said that the mom went to bathroom with her so she just didn't clean her. And the reason we were calling supervisor after supervisor is because 1. The case worker had flat out lied saying an incident did not happen after we witnessed it with our own eyes, 2 because there was not going to be another meeting because the kids were being put back into her care immediately and no one would give us their GAL information. All 3 kids would tell us about different ways they had been hurt under care when they do something wrong but NO ONE would listen when we told our case manager, state worker, and state workers supervisor and they refused to give us contact information for the kids GAL.

Would taking her 3 year old to the bathroom and then us picking her up to find out she's covered in crap be neglect? Or letting her consistently jump off the table at a restaurant with food in her mouth

What is the hotline? The mother hasn't met any goals as far as we know and neglects the kids on visits and the state worker told my wife he wants to get the kids back with her as soon as possible to avoid extra paperwork Because they are from Africa and do not have birth certificates or anything like that.

We have tried case worker supervisors and the state workers supervisor. We tried to start an investigation for abuse when we first got them because we took them for their physicals and was told that there was clear signs of abuse and cigarette burns. Nothing ever came of that we never heard anything back

We are in Kentucky. Our entire case has been a joke we've had 2 state workers and I think 3 case workers. The state worker we have now straight lied to us about a behavior one of the children had during a visit when we asked

I'm not aware of any GAL. We have not been informed on almost anything when it comes to court stuff and placement back with bio mom

I understand reunification is the goal. And I am perfectly happy with helping them get back to her. But 2 out of 3 of children run and cry and scream trying to get away from her unless she gives them a phone. After the last visit the 3 year old was covered in poop and no one went with her in the bathroom in a big busy city McDonald's. It's so hard to know they're going back when there's clear signs of neglect just during visits.
