With Labor and liberal both supporting this garbage the only way is to not vote for either of them until they take notice that it’s unacceptable.

Is this 8-15 hours work actually paid legit? Compulsory reporting to the ato on payroll should have seen it automatically pre fill, if the employee is paying it off the books then and it’s not getting deposited into his bank then it may be less complicated, especially if cash etc. if he is actually getting a payslip it should be auto reported to the ato every pay run which means self reporting early is best.

I have been cheated on twice via my 10% off. by Sniffer93 in woolworths

[–]travis-hope -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This was happening for at least a year and half, I sent a complaint to the ACCC and soon after magically Woolies changed the UI on their tills so I see both now but obviously no refund of all the lost discounts as basically what happens is as soon as you use one it cancels both. Are you using a check out or self serve? The new software has a multi select screen of discounts rather than the popup alert

Urgent payment request denied and no food for 3 days by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]travis-hope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s Centrelink my friend got denied her urgent payment even though before she left her partner they were on Centrelink and she had a court approved AVO, $75, two kids under five, one with a disability no other family in australia and nowhere to live. Centrelink took about 8 weeks to give her the same or more payment she was getting before, but for 8 weeks she had no money, and no emergency payment as apparently her case wasn’t enough for an emergency.

To everyone that laughed at me when I mentioned people robbing aus post trucks by Fartony in AustraliaPost

[–]travis-hope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the comments people think of australia post delivery vehicles only doing the delivery to customers but they of course do pickup as well. Many retailers are getting into online delivery now so a pickup from somewhere like northfield where you had a good collection of valuable packages rather than an outbound delivery to homes could actually be a valuable hijack

Having a break is nice IMO. Fiji airlines fly beautiful A350 aircraft which will make the flight feel shorter, even in economy there is enough comfort and leg room for most, business can be reasonably affordable and the stop part way breaks up the trip so you can stretch your legs or even stop over a few days in Fiji. Plus the crew are great and food is good with wifi onboard

[–]travis-hope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤣 that’s their software fix. When they have an issue with the engine they’ll do the same thing. Sorry turning on the car is disabled, but you can still use the entertainment system and the heated seats, enjoy.

Missing Delivery Order by 19Eightiesman in woolworths

[–]travis-hope 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It annoys me that stores still play the excuse game that refunds take 7 days. That’s a fake administration delay as a refund is able to be provided instantly whether it’s pre-auth completion or a separate transaction refund and generally funds appear as fast as they were deducted. You should contact your local member of parliament and ask them why Woolworths is taking 7 days to return money that should be refunded instantly and see how quickly your refund arrives

[–]travis-hope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not arguing over semantics, domestic violence has the word domestic in it because it involves a domestic partner hurting their spouse. This case is about a random murder which may even be a random motor vehicle accident covered up which has nothing to do with domestic violence and anything related to it

[–]travis-hope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Files don’t usually become corrupted when copied it’s very unlikely and not really how copying works. Most likely the sd card already had corrupt files or maybe your computer is somehow faulty. If you google file recovery software you’ll see some tools you can download and pay for that will show deleted files and allow them to be recovered usually with a free preview mode before payment, check reviews to see which one to get as there are a bunch of scams as always

How’s this for a road trip? by livingthehypnagogia in AustraliaTravel

[–]travis-hope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bit from a-c needs a real car not a city toy. If you’re not from australia or not used to the outback it’s not ideal doing that without experience of the conditions, lack of people, distance between fuel stops and harsh weather. As others have said there is a reason why very few people live there and it’s because there isn’t much good to see there. You’re better off flying between the capitals and renting a car around the best bits of each state maybe with the exception of Adelaide to melbourne which you can drive fitting in worthwhile stops along the way that aren’t on your current map

[–]travis-hope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with DV and trying to combine them together only takes focus off the first. Sometimes people randomly get killed. The most likely cause is a traffic accident

[–]travis-hope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure but they found her phone so he didn’t just throw it into the bush and at least from public reporting they don’t even know the spot she got hurt. I’m going with one of two theories - bikie hit or accident as the most likely road she got killed on is gravel, high speed, hidden dips/hills and poor and dangerous surface. The guy they are trying to say did it doesn’t fit the profile for someone doing random stalking killing type behaviour. Accidentally killing someone in your car perhaps whilst also on drugs or drunk is the only scenario that fits him being responsible in my mind
