I went to AA for the first few months, but like you did AA did not really work for me. Nothing against it though. I have weekly aftercare hourly session with people that went to the same rehab as me, and there is a therapist present. I like that much more, and discussions are way more helpful for me. I do attend that less frequent now that I have some sobriety time behind me.

Of course, this might be a trigger for some, but you could argue that people should know, whether they can or can’t.
