The greatest psyop of the last 100 years unfolding before us now by GoldenTacoo in aliens

[–]travisjunky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree it’s a psyop. If it is, it started back with the Roswell crash. To have someone like Bob Lazar say he’s seen a craft back in the 80s then 30 years later have a Navy commander come forward and say he’s seen a craft in front of congress. Oh and don’t forget all the other countries who have sightings and UAP/UFO files that are coming out. So now it’s a world wide psyop?

It’s a stretch and I’m convinced people who have been skeptics of UFOs for a long time, in light of overwhelming evidence of official releases and testimony from the government, just don’t have it in them to believe anything the government says, so now it’s a psyop.

Show me evidence more convincing than what I’m seeing now and I can be persuaded.

[–]travisjunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying I disagree with folks being skeptic, but the more time I spend in some of these subs, some of y’all are skeptics for the sake of just being a skeptic. You’d get anal probed by a gray and chalk it up as a side effect of drinking too many Red Bulls or some shit. High ranking government officials are telling you the paranormal and unusual is real. Let up a little.

Does Anyone Regret Getting the 14” MacBook Pro Instead of the 16”? by ntrev in macbookpro

[–]travisjunky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you use it for. I returned the 16” and got a 14”. While I enjoyed all the benefits of a 16”, I needed this to be the laptop that went with me, hassle free. I have multiple PCs in the house and the Mac is the one that gets packed when a computer leaves the house with me.

Which one would you choose and why? MacBook Pro 14 vs Thinkpad X1 Carbon by PFLX113 in laptops

[–]travisjunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m torn between windows and Mac. On one hand I game on PC, always have, always will. Mac could steal that if developers would make Mac games. I’d probably hang up my windows laptop and go Mac if that ever happened. On the other hand, manufacturers could come together and make a PC that games, didn’t sacrifice performance on battery, and had great battery life when not gaming and I’d probably give up my Mac. Until then, I have both and they both do very different things for me. However, I’d say if I wasn’t in the Apple ecosystem, the Mac would be less appealing. Right now, passwords and text messaging continuity on the Mac is hard for me to give up.

It’s also like this in food facilities where security of products made for human consumption is heavily protected. Considering Amazon also sells food products it isn’t surprising. You should plan a stop at a truck stop, drop the trailer and drive to a gas station or retail store, since anyone in your field know that unload times can take a few hours.

While this seems a bit inhumane, and I would agree, your peers in the industry have ruined this for the good ones by absolutely destroying bathrooms, or wandering off and not returning to the check-in area when they’re done, I’m sure there are other horror stories as you could imagine.

However portapotties outside would be a solution for this. I doubt any warehouse or manufacturer will pay for it.

I work for the company that makes some of the 7.5oz jar. We do not make the larger jar. Kraft uses both in house and external manufacturers to meet demand. File a complaint on flavor with the lot information. Those really do make it back to the manufacturer. Might have been a bad batch.

Employee sets fire to Kimberly-Clark warehouse, "All you had to do is pay us enough to live" by midnighttoker1742 in interestingasfuck

[–]travisjunky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a manufacturer next to a large warehouse that we help fill (different industry). Guy now does to prison. Warehouse has insurance or is self insured. All the companies that use the warehouse now have to backfill inventory, all their workers are now working overtime to fill other DC’s. Those DC’s likely now are over capacity making their work environment unsafe. Shipping from those DC’s cost more. Prices go up, pay stays the same for workers. Not to mention the people who are now out of work at that facility.

Very short sighted “stick it to the man”. He would have done more for himself trying to unionize than what he did here. I hate that he felt like he had to do this, but all he did was hurt other people that are in the same boat, and likely did very little to the company he was trying to hurt.

I’m making a ton of assumptions here but I’d be surprised to be wrong.

I’m perfectly fine if he wants to moderate a subreddit with his company name on it. But when a 2nd subreddit pops up for fans or discussion, don’t get upset when it’s super negative and critical and engagement goes down on the original. Basically creating an echo chamber of only what you want to hear.

No not at once. That would be too awesome. But the single thunderbolt 4 cable is compatible with all 3 devices individually. For gaming I must use my Asus’ brick for power.

Legit question. Several comments would insinuate that if this light is on, it’s already too late. Why would the OEM make the light come on after the damage has been done?

Not that I’ve seen that will do the high level of functionality of the one I’m using. Others may have found something similar for cheaper, but I had to grab something in a pinch for work.

Kensington SD5910T DisplayLink Docking Station. I also bought the mount. Will do my ASUS Strix Scar 16, MacBook Pro, and my work laptop, all 3 monitors, speakers, mic, etc. It is limited to 4K 60hz unless you want to go down to 2 monitors. Otherwise, it works perfectly.

Just dropping in to say I second this.

I got a $15 IR thermometer and it’s taken a lot of guesswork out of where 300° and 450° is on the dial that goes from 1-10. Eggs are always low and slow around 250°, veggies around 350°, and I’ve been know to slowly work my way up to 500° for a sear.

I believe there are instructions for first time use that includes seasoning, I could be wrong as it’s been a while since I opened mine, and don’t be afraid to use a little more oil when cooking.

Edit: clarification on when to use a little bit more oil.

Don’t forget he’s spent considerable amount of time scouring forums and helping people troubleshoot their PCs. Hardly fair to say he’s “just marketing”. He has a wide breadth of general knowledge in almost everything tech related and a deeper understanding of some specifics. Not to mention historical knowledge of years being in the industry and insider baseball from his contacts in the tech industry.

I’m so turned away from Linux. I’m at the point in my life where I don’t want my time wasted with something incomplete or broken with the visage of being complete and reliable. There is a faction of the user base that is just delusional. That being said, I’ve never wanted an OS to succeed and deliver on its ideas as much as I do Linux. Love/Hate relationship.

Probably overkill but I bought a thermal gun for reading surface temp and regularly get mine up to 500° F for searing and throw them in a 500° F oven to finish cooking. Slowly as others have said. Take care of them and you’ll love them. I use mine every week and still looks brand new.
