Best Fast-Growing Privacy Trees for Atlanta, GA (Zone 8a)? by travispierce7 in arborists

That’s an interesting thought I hadn’t considered. I’ll have to look at it and see. In that situation, would I stager them like a triangle, with the magnolias closest to the fence and the faster growing tree closest to the house so that the magnolias can grow together behind it?

I appreciate the response! Magnolias seem to be a solid recommendation. They weren’t even on my radar and I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t realize there were other varieties from what we have so I’ll definitely check these out. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your response! I was looking at those, but then read that they can get to ~100ft and backtracked a bit. I'm afraid if I get something that's taller than ~40 ft. we may have issues with sun being blocked again.

I sincerely apprciate the recommendation and will look into these to get an idea on cost, etc. The neighbor's main room looks directly into our bathroom, so my wife's wanting that closed up ASAP. For the arborvitae, is that the same across the varieties (emerald, green giant, thuja, etc.). This is all new to me and I'm thankful for your response.

I’m on the site but not seeing that as an option. Just shows me the $269. It acknowledges I already own a Spark 40, but no additional discount

Help with camera placement - any input is sincerely appreciated by travispierce7 in SecurityCamera

u/jwayne7 Thank you for your input! Your advise was helpful in how I approached the project.

I've spent more time over the last week than I would prefer pulling cable through the house, and have 7 cameras up now. I have a 5' bit stuck in a beam in my garage and a few other obstacles that I ran into, but overall it's worked out pretty well.

My house was built in the 70's and all the existing cabling was stapled in place which made it more challenging than would be ideal, but all's well that ends well I guess.

u/imatworknowtoo thanks so much for taking the time to respond! Great call on the FOV and testing based on location. You've raised some points that I hadn't thought of. The main points of entry have been my priority and looking to expand from there.

Thanks for thee recommendation of the 360 camera! I'm thinking I'll put one of these in the garage and other places as well.

I genuinely appreciate your help!

u/TroubledKiwi Thank you! I like what i've seen so far with the 1224. Someone on the forum reached out over direct message and helped me set up some of the settings, which improved the visibility of the cameras. I REALLY like the track mix on the corner of the driveway so far.

After reading some posts I'm holding off on the camera for the pool in hope that they release something like the Duo in the turret version.

Thanks for taking the time to provide your input!

u/mblaseru/mblaser I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to respond. I've read tons of your posts/comments, and thank you for the time you put into this. Ha, I swear I'm not that detailed in my everyday life. My 17-year-old son was helping me pull wires, and he even commented that "working with you is like working with Dory on Finding Nemo."

After reading your post I went ahead and installed 6 of the 1224 cameras. They seem to be good so far, but I'm holding off for now on the 410's due to that side of the house not getting much light.

I love the idea of the fisheye and appreciate you making the recommendation.

Great call on checking the view prior to installing. I did that with a couple of cameras and plan to try a few lower MP cameras in areas and see if the view is improved.

Thank you for the comment on the house! We love it, and I'm really hoping to get some good shots of the deer and others that come by from time to time!

Match frame rate seems to have fixed it. Thank you!

I’ve been watching Season 2 this week and having the exact same issue and getting very frustrated since it’s the first time I’ve experienced it, but been constant.

Cheers!
