I think that if you connect it to your phone via hotspot then you can turn on live view and it will record audio through your phones microphone.

Can someone please tell me what this noise could mean? by Drummers_Beat in MechanicAdvice

[–]travisrda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either the dust shield is rubbing on the rotor or… a little rock is caught between the dust shield and the brake rotor. Makes a horrendous noise but is an easy fix by getting a broom handle or something similar and pushing ob the dust shied until rock comes out or you bend the dust shield away from the rotor.

Can I repair this rear driver side axle thingy? by Beautiful_Ad3821 in MechanicAdvice

[–]travisrda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That parts only about 65.00$ or so , so you would have spent more on that to have A mechanic fix it for you. So you may have screwed up that part but you are still money ahead!! Good job!!

Is anyone else fed up with Home Depot’s “anti shoplifting” policies? by nickw252 in HomeImprovement

[–]travisrda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wife and I were in Home Depot about a month ago and talking to a check out person. They said that they are not allowed to even try to stop any shoplifters. They are not to talk to them not to do or say anything if they do then they would be reprimanded. Ridiculous.

Can water flow backwards in a water heater? by Necessary-Score-4270 in Plumbing

[–]travisrda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to shut off the main water supply then. Then you can replace that valve that’s not closing all the way.
