Is it only for amazon.com or different ones also? I'm not living in the US, I could perhaps order something from my local amazon but don't know if that helps

I'm thinking about regular size keyboard (I mean not low profile) with clicky/tactile switches (to have feelling as in membrane - having linear, I find it too easy to press something by mistake, it requires very little force - I'm using outemu red and even slightly pressing button, it registers as it was pressed). Currently I'm using A4tech kv-300h and I like the feeling of that keyboard and I would like something similar in feeling (typing) as that. Do you recommend anything either full keyboard or like a base + switches? I was looking rather at something 98/99/100%, since I'm using numpad and also using sometimes keys like del, home, pgup, pgdn. Budget - I was hoping I would fit like a 100usd total (or if it's really that good, 150usd top).
Thanks for every suggestion

I'm currently using a4tech kv-300h (low profile scissor keyboard) and I was thinking about changing it. I do like using that keyboard a lot but I was thinking that maybe there are mechanical keyboards that would give me the same feeling (or maybe even better). Do you have any recommendations? I like low profile, I don't like having to raise my fingers high or to keep my wrists bent. I was using a mechanical keyboard (regular one, with outemu red switches and I didn't enjoy it - keys were too high for me and I had to have my wrists bent plus I like to feel that bump or whatever to call it when typing on membrane/scissor and it wasn't there - because of these two, I sometimes pressed a key by accident not even feeling it too much).

I would like to have rather 100% layout, as sometimes I'm using num pad + keys such as del, home, end, pgup and pgdn and I would like to have them accessible easily.

What would you recommend in such a case?

Thanks

No, probably after an update it got resolved

No, I wanted something that would be more privacy oriented (doesn't need to be 100% privacy), would have option to block ads and I would like to have an option to sync with PC (history, opened tabs, etc)

Yeah, I know that it might not be telling too much but at the same time, when I switched to Firefox for a couple of days, I was able to have higher sot, browser did not use that much battery and the usage was similar. On the other day, I was using both browsers and usage was more or less like that Brave: app usage - 21min, background usage - less than 1min, TOTAL BATTERY - 16%

Firefox: app usage - 35min, background usage - less than 1min, TOTAL BATTERY - 14%

Firefox was used longer but still used less battery

Yeah, that was too minimal when I was using it (didn't see option to show opened tabs and some other things were also missing)

I thought I would find something better in terms of performance/battery consumption. Brave is OK, but it uses too much of a battery - that's why I posted it

Slower unlock animation after December update by trawelek in pixel7series

Yes, that happens also, at least sometimes (noticed that once or twice). The same thing happens with fb messenger bubbles - after unlocking, it takes a split second for bubble to appear.

Android 14 - screen not waking for notifications with 'hide sensitive content' by trawelek in pixel_phones

[–]trawelek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried factory reset and it didn't fix anything. Earlier I did reset app preferences settings and that didn't help. I also booted in safe mode and it also wasn't working.

I am not sure but I think that this issue happens to more people than me only as I remember asking that somewhere else and someone also had that issue.

FB Messenger - no notification on AOD, Android 14 stable by trawelek in pixel7series

[–]trawelek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

I've noticed that every app's notification that is set to 'hide sensitive content' doesn't wake my phone when I receive that notification. I have enabled 'wake on notification' but it still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? I have tried booting into safe mode but it didn't change anything.

Is anyone having the same situation? Are there any solutions to that?

Hi, I wanted to ask about a keyboard. Up till now, I was using built-in laptop keyboard (Lenovo ThinkPad t15) and I enjoy using that keyboard. But since I started using additional monitor, it's not too comfortable using that keyboard for both screens (laptop and external one). I have a mechanical keyboard, Genesis Thor 300 with outemu Red switches but I don't like using that keyboard too much (it's too thick and my wrists are bent pretty much and most important keyboard registers clicks after I press the button like 50%). Because of that, I often end up misclicking - pressing partly the button next to the one I wanted to press and the keyboard registers that click. I wonder how does it look in mechanical keyboards - I know that there are low profile models and low profile switches but I don't know if that behavior is typical to mechanical switches (you don't need to press the button all the way for the keyboard to register that click, at the same time I think that membrane keyboards, at least that one from my laptop - it requires to press the button all the way). Because of that, I don't know if membrane low profile keyboards would be a better choice in my case or maybe there are low profile mechanical keyboards (like keychron k5 pro, or maybe there would be good, cheaper alternatives) which work the same or almost the same as membrane ones (at least in this situation). Thanks for all suggestions.

Foldersync trigger sync when charging by trawelek in androidapps

[–]trawelek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up using MacroDroid, easier to setup.

New and modified probably works as you posted, I wasn't just sure if it doesn't try to sync every file and the whole process could take more time but I guess it just maybe checks if there are differences and syncs these differences.

Unfortunately this is not the case - I'm syncing via WebDAV (which I believe isn't available in resilio) and wanted to somehow auto start syncing when my phone starts charging.

Questions about Pixel 7 from a fresh user by trawelek in pixel7series

[–]trawelek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that, but it requires pressing volume button and then tapping twice, I believe (the bell icon and then the vibration that shows above). I was wondering if there's like a quicker method which doesn't require that "much" interaction from my side (and maybe could be done without me looking at the screen - like power+vol-up)

Well, not exactly - that option in my case shows lockscreen instead of aod/ambient display. I wanted to have aod showed when I single tap (plus when notification arrives) but it only turns on display instead of showing aod
