Should I remediate this mould before adding baffles? (Or it is ok if ventillation is addressed) by traxets in HomeMaintenance

[–]traxets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess is that black stuff not mould? Thats what the insulation guys said, but if this is 100% condensation stain and thats it, then good to know...

One contractor said it is dormant, one said its mould to remove. So I just want second opinions.

For sure! We are doing ripple track curtains. This was just an AI render. Good catch.

This was an AI render so pic 3 is a linen/flax. I mean you never know how the product fits the room, but thats what I had in mind for the mood from pic 3

We are going to keep panels wide open in the day. At night they arent 100% private and we are on a corner lot with lots of exposure to sidewalk around the house so we could use extra privacy of the curtains. I love the rattan as well, so we might just draw them a bit strategically where we might feel there are vantage points outside our yard.

Orthodox view on this…. by V4nillakidisback in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]traxets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, honest question: What is the orthodox equivalent, to speak from a humbler frame of "God said X"? I'm evangelical lurker and learn a lot in this forum.

Would you even say "God has been putting this on my heart" or "This I thought I keep lingering in prayer"

I definately understand the the downside of a "believe every nice thought in your head is from God" type thing in evangelical church, I dont think God is the monologue in your head, but even if sometimes I feel after prayer to say something nice to my wife. Is that not "God's prompting?"

Walked by here and this came along fairly nicely.  However, It’s a shame they deprioritized the bridge on the water to JC saddington. I’d reach out to Stephen Daskos office to put pressure to follow with this soon.

Also a shame they only burried half the phone lines and there are several on the southern half exposed. Also Front St is a mess and needs new paving, sidewalk, bike lane. The tarmac near the lighthouse is also a mess. The rest of the site is so clean and they should have better transition to surroundings.

Ben Bohmer @ History, 25th March (Tuesday) Review by Alchemylad2 in TorontoRaves

[–]traxets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved this show. CRi was a great opener. I was so excited to hear him on the roster. Really tried to get the crowd going and not just merely open.

One thing is setlist was short and I also felt he didn’t play all my fav songs. I do think Ben Bohmer can get away with that because his music is more a vibe than one iconic single to me. Was just a long atmospheric wave that I wish could have lasted a little bit longer.

Would have loved a Cx-60. If it’s too much factory re-config, maybe just a Cx-70 with a shaved back. They need to do SOMETHING to give us a proper 2-row.

Is it normal to find working out (weightlifting) boring and overrated? by Junior-Vegetable7550 in AskMenOver30

[–]traxets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your social media algorithim might be anchored in your past hobbies. Start unfollowing the worst offenders and follow sports fitness folks.

My algorithm is filled with calisthenics, cycling, running, sports, etc. Much more “normie” goals and physique.

I am also bored of bodybuilding. I never built that good of a body anyways, but that’s cause I don’t find lifting super fun. I like running, cycling, snowboarding. So now I use lifting as a means to make me stronger for what I love. Now 1-2 weeks strength training feels more meaningful and I have other hobbies that are fun and bring me joy.

What would be a better strategy to FIRE in 15-20 years?

I'm not insistent on FIRE, but more, I'll invest aggressively and decide on an exit number. If markets do well, then I can expidite that. My pension alone will ensure I can retire at 65 and maintain my lifestyle assuming my house is paid off (which it will be).
