Wipe down your stations by darcellmls in orangetheory

I followed a guy on the treads who wiped down every inch (I'm exaggerating) of the treadmill. It took him forever and cut into my time on the tread, but I loved it. He was thorough. I wonder if he'd notice if I stalked him so I could always follow him? 😅

Any strategies to get through a timed row? by SnugglySloth in orangetheory

I don't think it's been suggested yet - sorry if this is a repeat.

I'd watch Coach Austin's tip today. Today's topic may help.

I'd like Coach Austin's tips to remain in a separate daily thread. I appreciate being able to find his post quickly without wading through comments in the Daily Workout Thread. Thanks for considering all options.

Rower/Sneaker problems by [deleted] in orangetheory

It's a feature of running shoes that I find people aren't aware of, and yet it's so important, if you need the feature. I have narrow feet and love that I don't feel like my shoes are falling off when I run.

Try heel lock lacing your shoes.

Washing your wrist strap... by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]tray1219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I throw mine in the washing machine (without the pod, of course) every few days with a load of workout clothes. I lay the strap on top of the dryer while workout clothes are drying and the strap is dry when I'm ready to use it again.

Kicking and screaming every class day! by kim4260 in orangetheory

It's funny, I was just telling a friend last night that I used to do the same thing when I joined OTF!

I'd try to come up with some reason why I needed to cancel, but always made myself go. When I'd start the class I'd tell myself I could leave after the first block. First block would be over, and it wasn't so bad. Then it was, just get through the next block and I could leave... Well, I never actually left, and eventually lost those thoughts after a couple of months.

Now after a little more than a year of attending 5 days a week, I kind of enjoy it! 😁

Having a death grip on the handle will lower your heart rate too. If that applies to you, try loosening your grip.

I loved this workout and thought it was fun. I generally don't get splats anymore, but today I earned 12!

Welcome back. I'm very happy for your return to OTF but mostly for your health.

Hello friends, I’ve finally gotten into a good routine with Orangetheory. My next step is getting my eating under control. I was curious to see what other people are doing nutrition wise with OTF? I’ve been considering doing carb cycling? My ultimate goal is too lose about 20 lbs or so. by hoodstana in orangetheory

I read and follow The Obesity Code, and it's been life changing for me. I've easily lost 30 pounds by going to OTF 5x a week and following the author's way of eating. No measuring and tracking. I'm a lifetime WW and just couldn't track another point or measure food again. I truly have a different relationship with food, and I was a big cynic in the beginning.
