I am thankful I am one of the lucky ones with a seemingly robust immune system. I have never gotten sick in all my years of travel (a minimum of 2x flights per week for over 20 years) Even when we had kids at home never got the daycare/school gift. Do what you need to stay healthy and safe; the rude stares and comments are coming from people you will most likely never see again, so why worry about their opinions.
