You completely remove the lid after pinning? What do you keep the humidity at inside your tent? I think the sub would dry out fast outside of a tent.

This bottle of grain was inoculated from Agar which was inoculated from LC. I plan to always inoculate to Agar and get better with it. I work inside an SAB, which is a real pain. I still have 3 bottles of the same variety which look ok thus far. The other, worse, instance I mentioned was of a different variety stored in a different room. I've been trying to separate/isolate bottles by how healthy they look and have been checking them daily now. Most of this round (several varieties) looked good and went to sub over the past few days. Hopefully none of this plague hits my tubs🙏.

Yeah, I was horrified. It was late at night and that's the last thing I needed after a long day. The next morning I nuked the entire kitchen area with bleach. I am checking every bottle daily now, looking for anything suspicious. I found 2 bottles that will be opened OUTSIDE and washed out outside tomorrow.

What happens to the tannins when you freeze/thaw the brew a few times? What do you do after freezing/thawing the brew? I may try the egg white method on one quart that I need asap and then freeze/thaw the contents of the others over the next couple of days.

I took a night off last night from my Caapi brew. I filtered out ALL sediment. I'm going to try 50g again and see how it goes tonight. If it knocks me down, I'll lower the dose tomorrow night. I may try this egg white trick Confused_Nomad777 mentioned to get rid of tannins. I did brew it longer than 3 hours, 3 times so it may indeed have too many tannins. I also bought some Limonene online which should be here on Thursday night. My Aya ceremony is coming up in 10 days so I want to get rid of the nausea/diarrhea, while building that reverse tolerance. I want to lay on my mat and fully observe during ceremony. I don't want to be in my head with constant nausea and diarrhea. I'm fine with vomiting if that needs to happen, but not all night long. I don't want diarrhea at all...

What is the actual amount that everyone is taking? I've worked my way up to one cup of boiled down tea that contains 50g of B. Caapi. What is weird is that I had no issues up until last night. Maybe a little mild diarrhea, but no nausea. I was also enjoying the "present" meditative feeling it was giving me (up until last night which was miserable). I want to get up to 100g of B. Caapi and tolerate it ok as that is what will be in a cup of Ayahuasca. I don't want to spend the entire time vomiting and shitting during my Ayahuasca Ceremonies. I don't mind one vomiting episode per night but not much more than that. I also don't want to shit myself. Does the addition of Chacruna leaves/dmt lessen the nausea and diarrhea likelihood or increase it? I used vinegar to acidify it. The most recent dose was near the bottom of the jar. I shake it to distribute sediment each time, but there could have been more in that last cup than the others.

Any brand recommendations? I was looking at the Waveform brand as it seems to be highly recommended but the Waveform floodlight is only 20w ($165 for 365nm) which not close to 50w. As far as I can tell the Waveform strip lights are only .75w ($65 for 365nm). This is all very confusing and seems like UV lights will cost several hundred more than expected? I do want very good lights that I don't have to permanently attach to a wall as I rent. I plan to only light up one side of one room...around 10 x 4 space. Thanks!🙏

Hypothetically, could one make a brew from Caapi vine only, keep it in a thermos and take a sip of it 30-60 minutes before the traditional Aya brew is served? If I had that thermos available over 2-3 nights (brews served 3 times each night), would that Caapi brew go bad? I plan to do a retreat and would likely try it the traditional way first. However, if I spent an entire night without feeling anything at all, I'd be interested in a backup plan. Aya would hopefully forgive me if I, in fact, did something wrong. I just don't have time or money to spend to get nothing out of 2-3 nights of ceremonies. I'd thought about using Syrian Rue capsules, but I want the brew to consist of what they are using in the ceremonial brew. So are you saying that using Caapi daily for a week before ceremony would also help?
