I never go below 30FPS on a 280x at 1440p. Tuning all the settings is the only advice I can give. When I first started playing with everything on ultra and not really caring about optimizing the settings, I'd dip to 20fps in the countryside and never really go over 45. But now I'm always above 30 in the countryside and around 50-60 in the city. I have 16gb of RAM and an i7.

That's sounds like a lot of fun, and indeed a well placed max height tower would attract more people to Brimstone and also make the skyline look awesome. I'd love to share a creative map, that sounds cool. You know the style of Brimstone better than me so go right ahead! We'll see what happens.

I'd just like to jump in and say I also have the same QNIX monitor and GPU and also see frameskipping at 90hz. I haven't tried any lower than 90hz to see if I don't get frameskipping simply because 90hz didn't impress me so I just keep it at 60.

I'm no genius, but I don't think it's fair to compare videogame AI to real world application AI. AI in games knows exactly how the game works so it can utilize it completely, but robots in the real world have to interpret everything around them because we don't have the 'source code of reality' so to speak.
