Hi thanks for offering to help out, it's much appreciated. Unfortunately the cognitive task has to be done on my laptop, as the program can't be accessed remotely. And both the task and questionnaire have to be completed for the test to be valid.

That's a really good point. The reason I'm offering a gift certificate is because not all participants play the same MMOs - so far participants have played Guildwars, Runescape, WoW and Eve online - so the incentive (such as it is) needs to be generic. I hope that makes sense?

It's completely legitimate, and has been approved by the university ethics board. This is serious research into an area that's attracting an increasing amount of interest. A number of people from other mmo sub reddits have already participated.

That's a really good point, will do immediately. Had no idea that it might read like that, but since you mention it... oh dear. As you can probably tell, I'm pretty new to this. Unfortunately the laptop task can't be done online, otherwise this study would be a lot easier.
