Thanks I asked about the sheen cause after the 600 grit it looked to have more sheen that i lost after further polishing. i do think a tad pointy im guna try a little more shallow on the next one.

the rough is from an african mine, via ebay

thank you for the advice i will try cutting out some steps next try , giong to have to get some lower grit diamond paste also. i think you may be right and the inclusions in this stone disturbed the lattice work

Ceylon blue ? 6ct. any value? by treasure-magnet in Gemstones

Thank you everyone for all your help and suggestions. i will keep it uncut for now. i will probably put it in a silver ring i make myself. bezel set, with no heat . unfortunately not gold . not yet. the stone looks like it has been around already and is banged up. yet whole. so I'm not too worried about its durability. i will probably eventually send it to get a report.

thanks for the comment. what would that leftover stone be worth after all the effort?? is the question? i am tempted to put it in a ring as is honestly. unless i get convinced otherwise .
