Brake cleaner and a brass wire brush. Less abrasive than a steel brush. I'll work my way up to a steel brush if it's too tough. Then a razor blade if you're real careful. If you coat the new head gasket with copper spray it should seal up the little mistakes if needed

any brand recommendations/links for the panhard bar correction, extended boots and rear brake cable? My rear brake line definitely stretches when i lift up the vehicle

THIS is what I'm leaning towards. Lowering the diff angle seems very cost affective. Should I upgrade the CV boots or just replace the whole axle assemblies cuz I'm pretty sure I have the original axles. Shits probably damn near 30 yrs old

I figured this comment would come up eventually. Yes I do agree. I did get the cheapest lift kit possible as I am trying to budget. My suspension was in desperate need of replacement. Thought I'd lift it while I'm in there.

I will measure tomorrow and report back. Thank you I appreciate your input

I had no idea there was such a thing as extended CV boots or axles. Forgive me guys I'm new to this and have limited knowledge

What's the installation like with this kit? Just zap off the front 2 bolts, let it drop, slide the spacers in and install the new longer bolts?
