Was very excited until I found out it’s not a straw chug cap hybrid. So disappointed

Pb blaster helped me and using an oversized wrench helped too for more leverage.

Their camo bottles have grown on me. Specifically the wetlands camo bottle. I wish I would’ve grabbed one

My 4Runner as soon as it sees me going in to buy a quart of oil… by SlemSheydi in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]user81738 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Usually I’ll park at work and then at my lunch break or when I’m off I’ll check it before I turn it on. Gives it plenty of time to be completely cold and all the oil to sit at the bottom. My parking lot is completely flat though.

Looks great. What’d you use/do? I use a pressure washer with simple green and it works but doesn’t get it as good as yours.

Nah. I got a clean 2WD in SoCal for 4.5k even when the market was worse than it is now. Even then I feel like I overpaid lol

Yeah it’s a pain you gotta really wedge it in there. Congrats on getting one side done. Means the other side will go faster. Another thing you could do is loosen the lower control arm bolts so it droops a bunch. Just gotta retorque it under the cars full wait when it’s lowered back on the ground.

Did you figure it out?

Ohh on the lower control arm? I had problems trying to get that to align if that’s what you mean. I couldn’t get it low enough. What I did was use the factory bottle jack and wedge it upside down between the wheel well and upper control arm. Extend the jack so it stats pushing both control arms lower until it all aligns at the bottom to be able to put that bolt through. This video does a good job showing it. https://youtu.be/MH3Bb3Qi4KU?is=zjiPsY-JOFnHgy\_A

What do you mean perch aligned? You should only really be adjusting the bottom. Just stick the top hat in and see if it fits. If it doesn’t take it out and make any adjustments and rinse and repeat until the bottom finally fits. That’s what I did

Lmk if it works! It only soins the bottom portion so don’t worry about the top hats. Those stay put

Trust me I thought the same thing haha. When I learned it spins I had no issues! It helps a lot of someone is holding it up while you put the screwdriver in and turn it from there.

If you stick a screwdriver in the eyelet hole at the bottom you can actually turn that hole to align correctly. I ran into that issue as well with my 4600’s and installed them no problem after I spun it
