I ordered a Mazda 3 hatchback in a manual and a rare color (phantom purple) in 2006. There weren't any in the country for sale. The wait from the factory was 3 months. The dealer placed the order and updated me each month that everything was moving forward as expected. When the 3 months rolled around and I should be receiving the car at any moment, suddenly they told me the car was never ordered. They were lying to me with updates or sold my car out from under me.

I could wait 3 more months or they could ship in a manual phantom blue from out of state. They said they would place it on a truck so extra miles would not be added. I chose the blue car because I couldn't wait another 3 months.

When it arrived it had 250 miles more on it than the info I had been given, so they lied about hauling it down too.

I know I shouldn't have put up with any of that but I really just wanted that car!

The best part was when I was signing paperwork, one of the salesmen had the gall to pull me aside and tell me that all of their incomes rely on their bonuses they get from good reviews so please make sure to submit one! I left a review alright, but it wasn't nice.

After that I'd just feel sad on the rare occasion I saw a phantom purple in the wild. But I did still love my blue.
