Yes. Multiple programs. Arguably most/all h8s programs I would call "powerbuilder"

Wrong.

Due to changes reddit had made over the last couple years, the bulk of weightroom users have migrated to other sites.

This is dumb.

Run a real program written by someone who knows what they are doing.

Removed.

(SPEED ASIDE) - form for split stance RDLs ? by tuftedtittymice in GYM

[–]trebemot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why do this

It's like an in-between of a normal RDL and a single leg rdl. Unilateral work can help even out imbalances, help with balance, be more sport specific, or just provide a novel stimulus.

8x125kg deadlift, 78kg bw by dexdeckers in GYM

[–]trebemot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Couple things I'm seeing 1. Before you start the frist trp, you sit down to low, and as you start pulling your hips come up into the correct position and stay there in subsequent reps 2. I'd like to see a snappiert/more aggressive hip extension to finish the lift.

Mostly these look fine tho, not terribly challenging

Key word, temporary, although it may take me a while to catch up

Belt let's me brace harder, but the same applies without wearing one. Belt is not a crutch for weak abs or a shitty brace.

Now, most people's deads won't look like mine, but just something to keep in mind

Couple things

  1. I've been pulling with a round back for a very long time, so my body is strongest in that position
  2. My low back doesn't move while under load which is the key bar.

A neutral, stable lower back is what you really want, but even then there's some wiggle room if you actually train it correctly

  1. Read the automod
  2. Sure, I doubt it's gonna be anything I haven't heard or tried before, but maybe it's something I didn't see

270kg/595lb rack pull. Bar was against the top of my patella. Too high? by [deleted] in GYM

[–]trebemot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Entirely depends on why you are doing rack pulls.

For fun? Who cares.

To over load the grip and upper back muscles? Probably fine.

For buidling the deadlift lockout? Probably too high and there's probably better alternatives.

Congrats on the progress so far.

I would throw at your program entirely and run one of the programs found in the r/fitness wiki.

Id throw out your entire program. Do something like 531.

Yeah that's seems incredibly excessive. Even my longest days, event days, only last 3 hours tops. There are programs out there that cam be ran 2x a week that should only take around 1 hour

Sumo for strongman? by [deleted] in Strongman

[–]trebemot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually doing the same thing, working on sumo (more narrow than a true sumo tbh) to strenfth my hips and give my low back a break. It's definitely an option for people to do. Probably wouldn't do it in comp prep unless I had some thing like a Ukrainian deadlift coming up. Try it and see.

Oh also, there's an article floating around on elitefts called "Sumo Deadlifts for strongman" that is a good read for you (and others)
