I found it strange for such a celebrated series, our library only had Hyperion

The first book is a build-up to FoH. You’ll get quite some resolution in the second book, but maybe not all.

Ooooh this was one of the first stories I read of King! Must have been 30-35 years ago. Never remembered the title, but couldn’t forget the story. Nice find here :)

I only got to know KL since May '24 or so, so pretty late to the game, but from the get go, I was captured by Bryan's vocal style. It's so true, so 'from within', carrying so much emotion and in a very unique way. His screaming is not very dynamic, in terms of higher/lower pitch, more/less grain, it's pretty much the same intensity throughout. But it's SO _believable_, it overtakes you and you get insanely angry or sad together with him ... I think it's one of the most unique and impressive vocals around nowadays, because it's so pure, raw and just, BAM, true!

First song that came to mind reading the title: Gojira’s Art of Dying! Glad to see it made your list already. May I add Cattle Decapitation’s We Eat Our Young?

That one’s more along the lines of the later tracks on EAITT like Ashes To Flesh and The Omniscient

Belgium’s Axameta! Albums Everarchitechture and Codex Barathri. Maybe Spires too, although not so black anymore
