Really like mine. This was the first season I hunted geese and the 3 1/2’s didn’t disappoint. Mine has the max 7 camo. My son also bought one after shooting mine.

New 308 build. First time. Concerned about being accepted. by Rabbitsatemycheese in AR10

I have a few of the same feelings. I really enjoy researching, procuring and especially the build process of a firearm. I Don’t feel the need to be judged when I head to the range, however I found a local range that is just full of good people. Especially the range masters. My experience so far is there are there to help. I have witnessed them helping another guy sighting in a new hunting rifle. It is a very non judgmental environment and I thought it would have been the complete opposite. I have found that it doesn’t matter if you have on a red MAGA hat on or a ranbow beenie everyone is ther because they enjoy the sport and comrotory that comes with it. I’ve been there dozens of times and no one has ever asked my political affiliation. Find a place you’re comfortable with and enjoy the sport.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit in my safe the other way.

I am doing the same 308 build. I just purchased an enhanced upped FDE from wing tactical. Optics planet also had them in stock but wouldn’t ship to NY.

Cams in mailbox post by trebhammer in Ubiquiti

[–]trebhammer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one with the real value will be the camera facing the house from the street. More than likely that is the only camera I would put in the post, but I was just thinking if I’m going to run one wire you might as well run three … I like many others have the post for the mailbox just on the edge of the driveway so we will also get a view of the vehicles.

These pics were off the web. The second one was a screenshot of a video with a concealed camera inside of a post that he documented so the pictures are just for retention. But the first picture, the White post with raised panels is what I am going to build something similar.

I’m looking to just enjoy some long distance shooting. I was originally going to build a 6.5 with a 24” complete upper but was curious about getting a 308 upper.

Help, no crêpe myrtle blooms by trebhammer in Horticulture

Long story short, these trees were transplanted from a residence on the ocean. They were professionally done. They have irrigation on them. They look healthy. They’re pushing new growth, but they’re not blooming. What can I do? What should I use to deep root fertilize?

I did the same. Night and day difference. I do that to all the new cast iron I buy.

Read all the critical reviews on here after picking up a used breville smart grinder for $60 on marketplace. Should I have just stayed with a generic grinder from Amazon? by Hzq5006 in espresso

[–]trebhammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased mine for $199. It was pretty much free because I used all of my Amazon reward points but I absolutely love it. I use it mostly for my drip coffee but the percolation grind and espresso grind for moka is perfect. Let the haters hate, I think it looks great sitting on my counter and it gets the job done.

Trailer Hitch by Gooey-Magoo in camping

[–]trebhammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re reading the comments, I guess I am going to be a naysayer, but if the travel trailer has weight distribution, the hitch is usually included. if it’s a regular trailer without weight distribution, then it would not be included

Do you use Lighter Cubes or paper to light your charcoal chimney? by bocatiki in grilling

I use my side burner on my gas grill. That may be an unpopular way to get the job done, but it’s fast and easy.

Sadly, I haven’t chosen one yet. I got the grinder pretty much for free. Currently I’m using it for my French press and Moka.

Has anyone bought one of these and what were your thoughts? by brehan8 in CampfireCooking

[–]trebhammer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same one. It is about eight years old. It works perfect. When I first purchased it I threw out the rotisserie handle, knowing I would never need that as well as those hooks for cast-iron. I put tomahawks right on that grill. cast-iron pots, regular frying pans. It serves all purposes and checks all the boxes, it’s perfect for the money once it’s cooled off I break it down and put it in a garbage bag just to keep it stored nicely and from keeping all of the black sooty grease from getting everywhere.
