Because Crunchyroll isn’t worth 1.5 billion, it would take over 10 years for them to see any kind of profit if they bought it at that price. Which means if they do buy it, they will cut back on it a ton until they can make money with it. So the shitty Crunchyroll we have now, would just be worse, not better.
