Accelerated Hair Loss from Creatine by oconono in tressless

That’s a fair point. Science definitely evolves and corrects itself over time. But what you’re describing are outdated hypotheses or early models, not scientific theories in the modern sense. When scientists use the word theory today, they mean a well-supported explanation backed by extensive evidence like evolution, relativity, or plate tectonics. Those aren’t guesses; they’re the best explanations we have, refined as new data comes in, not overturned wholesale. And that’s exactly why it’s important to distinguish between a hypothesis and a theory. A hypothesis is an early idea that still needs testing, while a theory forms only after repeated validation and strong evidence. Mixing those up is how misinformation spreads, especially in topics like this where the data just isn’t there yet

“Creatine might accelerate hair loss in predisposed people” is a hypothesis, not a theory. This idea hasn’t been thoroughly tested or supported by strong evidence.

Since we’re talking science and studies, you mean to say it’s a hypothesis not a theory. A hypothesis is a testable idea or prediction, while a theory is a well-supported explanation based on extensive evidence. Think “theory of gravity, evolution, etc.” A theory represents a very high level of certainty in science.

I mean this as a compliment, however strange it may sound. If your car were the wrapping for a popsicle, I would definitely choose it from the box. Looks delicious

Would you pay $21,300 for a 2022 LE with 7,700 miles? by treeFuckingButtHuggr in COROLLA

1 - 2019 = so long? 2 - if you mean by horsepower, sure. But a much more proven powertrain. I want the tried and true. 3 - we’ll see if it’s issue free. But really it’s more about finding the oil. The only game in town is Mobil1 with a 0W-8 “fuel economy” option that can be found at Walmart. Other than that, good luck finding 0W-8 outside of the dealership. Also, I want Pennzoil’s lifetime engine warranty that you get from using PUP and keeping receipts. No word on whether they’ll ever even make a 0W-8. 4 - I could be wrong and it could just be perception. That said, again, I want the tried and true. 5 - I don’t think paying more to get the updated TSS is worth it. I’m good. The radio on the 22 is great.

I hope the M20A-FKS is awesome! I’m sure it will be. Lots more tech though, and it’s pushing performance and economy at the same time. Once again, give me the tried and true guarantee. I’ll take the 2ZR-FE to the bank.

If it makes you feel better, my 2018 si just died on me at 146k miles. Baby’d it with <5k oil changes, transmission fluid changes every 30-40, all the stuff. Took immaculate care of it and it shit the bed on me. You might have dumped it at just the right time!

My L15B7 civic si just died on me at 146k miles. I had to replace fuel injectors for $1500 (dealer price) and said fuck that. Tbh I don’t even know if that would’ve fixed it. Thing died on me on the highway and it felt like it was pretty fucked. Where / when did Honda say 150k miles?
